Is Your Swimmer Ready for Team Prep?

Team Prep is designed for swimmers who are ready to move beyond traditional swim lessons and begin learning the skills, endurance and independence needed in a team setting.

Who Team Prep Is For

  • Swimmers who have completed or demonstrate skills consistent with Trident's Advanced Skills — Level 4.
  • Comfortable swimming independently without continuous instructor assistance.
  • Ready to swim longer distances and participate in more structured practice sets.
  • Ready to learn lane etiquette, circle swimming and group-practice expectations.
  • Interested in eventually progressing into Trident's Developmental Team.

Team Prep introduces swimmers to the structure, expectations and independence of team-style practices while continuing to reinforce proper technique.

Swimmers begin transitioning from traditional lesson-style instruction into longer, more structured team-practice sets.

Coaches continue providing individual feedback while swimmers learn to train alongside teammates and become more independent.

Swimmers learn circle swimming, lane awareness, listening to sets, following coach instructions and understanding team-practice routines.

Coaches monitor technique, endurance, independence and practice readiness to determine when a swimmer is prepared for Developmental Team evaluation.

How to Join Team Prep

Placement-Based Program

Team Prep is not an entry-level class. Swimmers must demonstrate the skills, endurance and independence needed for success in a more structured team-style practice environment.
